fallen fruit

ahhhh sad afternoon - the wind blew in swirly circles and down came a great part of our ancient pear tree....




It's the last remaining tree from the original orchard around the house - I remember 30 years ago the apples, oranges, fig and loquats that were large and wild in the yard... one by one they've met their end - last year the final loquat, a huge beautie (and more than 70 years old) snapped and fell...

I fear this pear will not be around for much longer...
